Name: Amber Turner
Business: Deluxe Matchmaking
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.
Industry: Personal Services
Reason for starting? I spent my early career working for the federal government. I gained a great career and the ability to significantly contribute to my household financially. With a spouse in the military, I had to leave that career behind because of a military move to a remote location. I struggled to regain that career back. Through that, I realized that was not the life for me. I wanted to create my own opportunity that I was in control of. With a passion and strong need to help others in their personal life, I created a blog focused on relationships, marriage, health and wellness. Feeling compelled to do more than just give relationship advice, I decided to create Deluxe Matchmaking. I am excited to grow my passion to much more.

How do you define success? Success to me is a state of mind. Life is so much more than tangible things, it is happiness, satisfaction, family and love.
Biggest success: As a new business, I would say my biggest success was actually taking the leap to living up to my full potential. I hope to grow it to be an industry leader locally. I would love to take my consulting nationwide.
What is your top challenge and how you have addressed it? My biggest challenge is probably marketing and advertising with a very limited budget. I have to rely on social media a lot, which is very time consuming. My husband recently took a pay cut which really has affected my business as it is new. Most income is used to grow the business.

Who is your most important role model? Oprah of course! I love how she defied the odds. She had many things stacked up against her and she has become a trail blazer.
