Name: Roshni Baronia
Business: Little Charms, personalized gifts for kids
Industry: Children’s Goods & Services
Location: Gurgaon, India
Reason for starting: Being a design graduate, my creativity always needed to have an outlet. A short stint in export manufacturing showed that I would have little space to spread my wings. I wanted to fly high in the sky, and that was only possible if I took the entrepreneurial journey. So to test my talents and the zeal to fulfill my dreams, I started my venture 5 years back.

How do you define success? Success to me is the journey of life in which, when I look back, I will have no remorse, no unfulfilled desires and a smile on my face with the feeling that says: “Wow! You did awesome, Roshni!”
Whenever the going gets tough, I look back at my work, achievements and failures. If then I see myself having accomplished more than from where I had started, that is success to me. It comes with the achieving of small milestones, with time spent well with family and staying motivated to set higher goals.
Biggest Success: Since I believe that success is a journey in which I keep moving forward, my biggest success will always be a milestone in the future. Till now, the biggest success was when my brand was featured in a television show as a leading provider of kids gifting solutions.
What is your top challenge and how have you addressed it? My top challenge has been scaling up and hiring. It is a chicken and egg situation when it comes to scaling up. But thankfully, my mentors have guided me into doing it in a planned manner. It also took me a lot of pivoting with the business idea and model as well to gain momentum in growth.

Who is your most important role model? I find each and every women entrepreneur very inspiring. Nothing against men, but when I am aware of all the challenges, dilemmas and roadblocks that a woman entrepreneur faces, I inherently have a great respect for every one of them. But I am also highly motivated by Sheryl Sandberg and Anita Dongre.
