My sister-in-law, Anna Forselius, and I started Oopsie Loopsie because like other new moms we were struggling with our weight in our post-pregnancy days.

When I started out at 19-years-old I tried to dress older and felt a bit of a fraud in that I was so young to have employees and be out getting business.

Friends and family were so impressed and felt that my idea would become popular because beach weddings were just starting to become one of the most unique ways to get married.

To work incredibly hard for something and have someone else determine my fate was the turning point for me, and the reason I started feNa.

When I was getting married, my biggest fear was tripping down the aisle. I needed a way to practice walking in my gown, so I invented one.

I was working at a department store when I noticed a constant problem. Women have a hard time finding stylish skirts that fit!

I wanted to create a beautiful shoe that could adapt to us so we don’t ever have to compromise between comfort and allure. (Tanya Heath Paris is a line of shoes with removable heels).

I was looking for an outlet of my creative nature and Park City’s Main Street was looking for a shoe store. It was a match made in heaven.

MotherTongues just released our first iPhone/iPad app, World Words. It teaches you one life-affirming word per day, with pronunciation and meaning. It is being downloaded around the world!

I started this business to help women facing hardship in India through selling their jewelry. I taught jewelry making to women who are working in brothels, HIV positive, widows, and/or facing extreme poverty.

Handana does more than protect my eyes: It has become a powerful reminder to cross my finish lines, to persevere.

I take inspiration from the many women and girls who have faced adversity and many challenges and managed to bounce forward.

I started my own business for the satisfaction of providing quality footwear that fits, and the joy that comes from learning a craft that’s been handed down through generations of other craftsmen.
